La Belle Voci is a ‘band of Gypsies on the run’ serving you serious operatical delight.
Having the Accordion as an accompaniment instead of the traditional Piano allows La Belle Voci a lot of freedom and flexibility with regards to how and where they perform, as well as making their music very accessible and entertaining. The great success of this concept has led to the recording of Opera deLight.
Le Belle Voci has worked together on a regular basis over the past years, performing at functions, weddings, wine farms and concerts. Each member has his/her own successful solo career in the music industry: Highly acclaimed Coloratura Soprano, Beverley Chiat will soon be touring The Netherlands in the role of Queen of the Night in Mozart's Opera, The Magic Flute. The extremely versatile Mezzo-Soprano, Violina Anguelov has just performed the demanding role of Amneris in Aida for Opera Africa in Pretoria and Johannesburg. Well-known tenor, Nicky Cencherle has performed the major tenor roles in Opera houses in Italy and South Africa while Classical Piano Accordionist, Stanislav Anguelov is always in demand for functions, concerts and has performed as solo artist with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra.
The album includes famous Opera arias and duets from Operas such as Carmen, La Traviata, The Tales of Hoffmann and La Boheme. It also includes Italian Neapolitan Songs and folk songs representing the different backgrounds of the members: Italian, Bulgarian and Jewish.
