March 2008 sees the exciting new release from Pieter Coffee and Friends “Life is beautiful.” The CD is a bilingual blessing of praise and worship songs and is an excellent resource for churches, small home groups or just individuals looking for an intimate relationship with God.
Pieter has been in the music ministry since 2000 and has a total of 5 albums on the market. His ministry keeps him on the road and in churches all around the country. He is very clear on the fact that when he sings, it is “definitely not a performance, but a prophetic ministry of song and word.”
Most of the songs on the album are written by Pieter with contributions from PW Smit, Andy Shaw, C.V. Heynigen and Godfrey Birtell. People who have inspired Pieter’s music include Brian Droeksen and Chris Tomlin whose song, “How Great is our God” is a feature on this CD. A song that is very close to Pieter and his wife Annalie (co-writer of the song) is “Take me away”. The song is about being in a close and intimate relationship with our creator and is dedicated to Annalie’s late brother, Snyman Pretorius. The song was written 10 days before he tragically passed away in a car accident.
Pieter is a big rugby fan and supports anyone but the Bulls. He also enjoys watching a good game of cricket. When has the chance to indulge in his hobbies, Pieter enjoys restoring old furniture and has also spent the last year restoring his new home, which was built in 1918.
