In March 2008, after returning from Splashy Fen Festival in Kwazulu Natal, having played a sterling set on the main stage, The Pretty Blue Guns took their surge of inspiration and found a home for it at Rooftop Studios in St. James, where they recorded six songs with Matthew Davison behind the mixing desk.
According to the band, “The EP contains 6 tracks about - dirt, love, lust, flowers, lonely nights, not so lonely nights, tight pants, loose women, indulgence, friends and foes.”
The Pretty Blue Guns EP 'Dirt.' was released independently on the 17th of May 2008, kicking off with a Launch show at The Hidden Cellar in their home town, Stellenbosch.
The Guns play regularly in and around Cape Town, along with other indie favourites such as Howard Roark and Fire Through The Window.
