“Self inflicted” is the debut
album Byron Clarke, though few
would guess as much. Touchingly
simple while being lyrically and
emotionally complex. This
beautifully crafted album has
been a lifetime in the making.
With Influences stretching
from acoustic rock to cinematic
scores, “Self Inflicted” is the
story of a man discovering that
is humanly and beautifully
flawed. “Self Inflicted” captures
moments in time and tells
stories vividly and innocently.
The heartfelt first single “In
The Grey” reached #1 position
on the SA Top 10 shortly after
release, cementing Byron
Clarke’s position in the hearts
of South African music lovers.
WHO IS BYRON CLARKE?
Born in Elsies River in Cape Town, an area of
South Africa poisoned by negativity yet laden with
undiscovered talent, Byron Clarke is a musical leg-
end in the making. Blessed with an amazing voice,
and growing up in a musical family, Byron took to
music at a young age both at church and in his
community all the while strengthening his musical
ability and knowledge. Byron credits his mother, a
music teacher and opera conductor as his musical
influences and his sources of inspiration.
