As a very young girl, I could only dream of being a famous singer when I grow up. Singing is my passion and I have been fortunate to have studied with some of the most wonderful and well known teachers including the Tenor Pierre du Toit and the famous Coloratura Soprano Nellie Du Toit. I started performing in choirs, solos, eisteddfods and concerts from an early age. I decided to study Opera at the Tswane University of Technology where we performed in several operas and concerts. After only one year of study I auditioned for the world famous musical 'Phantom of the Opera' by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and were very pleased to be informed that I have been casted as one of the lead roles 'Christine Daee'. We performed this in Cape Town at the Arts Cape Theatre , Pretoria State theatre and did an International tour with the 'Really Useful Theatre Company' to the East, including countries like Shanghai, China; Korea; Hong Kong; Taiwan and Singapore. This was an amazing experience and the best four years of performing.
I have also been invited by the Conductor Pienaar Fourie to perform with the East Rand Youth Orchestra and the Johannesburg Symphony orchestra. I recently performed with the Johannesburg symphony Orchestra where I was invited to be the guest artist in the 'Transnet Internal Choir Competition' which has been broadcasted on SABC 1 featuring some of the most popular pieces out of the Musical 'Phantom of the Opera'.
Recently I have recorded a solo album 'Popera Diva' with a light classical repertoire and a little bit of pop to spice it up.
