choking!hazard formed in 1999 and soon built a buzz around the South African metal community with a blend of metal, Hard Rock, thrash, and progressive metal flourish.

The line up includes vocalist Faf Kotze, drummer Justin Gieselbach, bassist Tiens van Zyl and guitarists Louis Venter and Dutch Hensel.

We’ve been well received at various venues and festivals across South Africa. Touring and performing our music to crowds all over South Africa is what we are passionate about.

Our debut EP titled Small Parts have been launched and has had more success in sales at shows than first expected. Small Parts contains thrashy Hard Rock tracks and one power ballad (Circle) which has shown to be a favourite at shows.
