The 25 minute "Long road to love" defies genre catagorization with its slow motion hip-hop beat, resonating slide guitars and shifitng layers of synths. Two uplifitng mid-tempo piecs ("I Trust" and "Clear mind") reflect influences of middle-of-the-road late '90's instrumentals, world music, ambient electronica and the Buddha Bar/Claude Challe/Cafe Del Mar stuff. Two meditative excerpts of the longer tracks on Ambient Music 2 ("Winter's light") ties number 1 with its sister album; the same synth sounds and structures are used on both albums.
